3 Layers of Any Experience

There are thoughts, of course.

And emotions. And body sensations.

There are three common layers to any experience:

  • Thoughts

  • Emotions

  • Sensations

I don’t know about you, but with any experience, I tend to be at the top with thoughts, occasionally feel emotions, and rarely tune in to body sensations.

Sometimes I have to remind myself that my body exists at all. I’m getting better with practice, but it’s oh so much easier to just be in my head.
